WIRED DIFFERENTLY is an interactive online course that explores the different ways we can create a team culture where all neurotypes are invited, encouraged, and affirmed.
Neurodiversity is about recognising and respecting the natural variations in human brain functioning. It challenges the traditional view that certain neurological conditions, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others, are mere deficits or disorders. Instead, neurodiversity emphasises that these differences are part of the normal spectrum of human diversity and should be valued as unique ways of experiencing and interacting with the world.
The beauty of neurodiversity lies within its core principle: the celebration of how we are all wired differently.
Have you ever stopped to consider the value of these differences, not just in the broader context of human experience, but specifically within the workplace?
When we embrace neurodiversity, we
invite inclusivity and equality into the workplace
see the strengths and potential of every individual, regardless of their neurological makeup
encourage and celebrate different perspectives, problem-solving skills, and unique contributions, which can spark innovation and creativity
also cultivate team dynamics that thrive on empathy and collaboration
About the course:
Facilitated by Hum collaborator, Lana Jelenjev, co-founder of the Neurodiversity Foundation and Neurodiversity Education Academy. Lana has been advocating for neuro affirming and neurodiversity friendly spaces for the past 7 years. She is the co-author of “What’s Strong With You? and “What’s Alive in You?” toolkits for coaches, teachers, leaders, and facilitators to bridge the gap for all neurotypes to thrive. The course has four core components:
Session 1: What’s Strong With Us? Moving from Pathogenic to Salutogenic Approaches
Session 2: What’s Alive in Us? Supporting Interest-Based Nervous Systems in the Workplace
Session 3: What’s Resilient in Us? Amplifying HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) in the Workplace
Session 4: Bridging the Gap: Fostering a Culture of Belonging Where All Neurotypes Thrive
Participants are asked to take the (FREE) Pre-Session “From the Golden Rule to the Platinum Rule:The Importance of Neurodiversity in the Workplace” on September 24 or to view the recording of the session.

“Very practical and up-to-date training for anyone who wants to take organisations to a new and modern level of collaboration. An organization where you can grow together and everyone has the chance to contribute, where you can learn from each other and everyone can develop...”

“Participating in The Hum's course demystified questions of what new forms of governance and organising for change can look and feel like. Their way of grounding theory into practice through simple and clear language, applied learning opportunities and sharing examples from the field encouraged me to try new things out in my own organisational context.”

“I have come away from the course understanding that deciding to have a flat structure was just the first step for us. There is a lot of work to be done to build the structures and processes that we need to thrive. The Hum has given us the tools and the inspiration to help us on this journey. I feel much more confident about trying new ways of organising.”
