Working with other humans is wonderful… and let's be honest, sometimes it can be really hard.

Collaboration is a skill, not just a value. And the biggest obstacle to working well with others isn't bad processes or the wrong tools, it’s the patterns, assumptions and behaviours we bring (often without knowing) that clash with the ones our collaborators have.

The person who drives you crazy for being too slow, or too detail-obsessed, or always jumping to new ideas… They're not being difficult, they just have a different orientation to work. And (spoiler!) you're probably driving someone else crazy with your own style.

This session is an hour to slow down and get curious, about your own patterns, and about the people you work with. Because understanding what drives us also helps us see others more clearly. By the end of the session we hope you can see the diversity of work styles as a valuable resource.

Maybe you’re already aware of changes you want to make, and yet you’re getting stuck in the same loops. Mainly, because the root of the issue may still be hidden. A worry, a competing need, an assumption you've never quite examined, an old belief you’re still unconsciously holding… So in this session we will also make space to investigate our behaviours more deeply, and come out with some clear practical experiments you can try.

What we'll do together

We'll map our work styles using a simple exercise we use with teams, to understand where we naturally gravitate. Then we'll explore the gap between how we show up now, and how we’d like to. And we will dive deeper to explore what assumptions and beliefs are actually getting in the way of change.

You'll leave with self-knowledge, more empathy for the people around you, and probably a question or two worth sitting with.

The session in a nut shell:

  • Understanding yourself as a collaborator (not just as an individual)

  • Seeing other people’s patterns with compassion rather than judgment

  • Getting curious about what's underneath (the stuff that actually drives behaviour)

  • Finding your growth edge, and designing a small experiment to move forward

Who this is for

  • This is for people who care about collaboration and want to keep doing the work.

  • You're genuinely curious about yourself and the people you work with.

  • You understand that self-awareness and empathy is what makes collaboration work.
