Community Call - Mediation for Teams
A participatory session to explore our relationship to conflict.
Time & Location
20 Sept 2023, 18:30 – 19:30 CEST
About the event
We all experience conflict and tension in our collaborations from time to time.
It’s exhausting, saddening and potentially costly when our heartfelt collaborative pursuits get derailed by misunderstandings, built-up irritations and repeatedly disconnecting relationship dynamics.
But when two or more of our collaborators are ‘full’ in their pain or hurt towards each other, where do they find the capacity to each be heard and understood?
Rather than letting our teammates settle into disconnect and distance, what if one or more of us had the confidence and capacity to step in and help transform the conflict into connection?
I believe mediation is an essential skill that everyone in the workplace can benefit from learning and practising.
Transforming conflict together saves us time and energy in our workflow, and also helps us build trust, courage, creativity and depth in our collaborations.
In this 60 minute session, we will explore the first steps to mediation and helping to foster a conflict-responsive culture at work:
- Understanding our own relationship to conflict
- Navigating different conflict styles in a team
- The role of a mediator
This session is free to attend but spaces are limited, please RSVP now to guarantee your place.
